Our passion for grilling, varying flavours, and trendy settings, set in motion The Empire Steak. We opened with confidence that the concept would kick off purely on our passion for serving the best steak. Today The Empire Steak is a well-known and well loved steakhouse in South Africa.

Born of fire and confirmed by loyal guests each day, The Empire Steak on Florida Road has grown to become the home for great steak done right. Founded in 2018 in South Africa, the steakhouse began with a passion for creating perfect steak and inspiration drawn from New York City. Today it specialises in prime-cut steaks and ribs, and extends that taste sensation to an array of light meals, seafood, salads, chicken, and popular New York themed items.

The grills burn and our passion for great steak will live on through our ever evolving menu, which comprises of the classics as well as the introduction of exciting and innovative specialty steaks on a regular basis. Whilst remaining trendy, and keeping up-to-date, the traditional favourites remain consistent, holding value through the richness of our traditions. Set in the heart of prime Florida Road. Creating our own tranquil environment. The outside seating area is drawn from the Central Park theme with plants and greenery in a spacious outdoor environment. Our sidewalk seating area is inspired by the sidewalk cafe atmosphere of the USA. Step into our restaurant with hues of yellow, grey and black with mild gold aesthetics to create a cozy ambience, which draws upon the skyscrapers of NYC. The restaurant itself is inspired by the towering and majestic skyscraper, The Empire State Building, which is carried out in our theme.
